Every sport uses showers differently
Football and rugby create peaks: whole teams finishing at once, often muddy, often with home and away sides. Cricket is a longer day with smaller peaks. Padel and tennis members arrive in smaller groups and tend to expect a more private, premium standard.
- Team sports: higher shower count, robust changing, home/away separation
- Racquet sports: fewer showers, private cubicles, better finishes
- Multi-sport sites: flexible rooms and officials' space
How many showers does a sports club need?
It depends on how many people finish at the same time, not on total membership. Tell us your peak — for example, two teams of 16 finishing together — and we will propose a layout. Your league, governing body or funder may have its own guidance, which you should confirm with them.
Sports pavilion facilities, built modularly
Modules can be combined into home and away changing, showers, toilets and an officials' room. External cladding helps a building sit well beside a pavilion or clubhouse.
